IHK HRC orders probe into1994 Kulgam killing
Srinagar, December 23 (KMS): The Human Rights Commission of occupied Kashmir has asked the authorities to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the killing of a civilian, who was shot dead by Indian Army in Kulgam in 1994.
The directives of the Commission came after Muzaffar Ahmad, son of the deceased, Manzoor Ahmad Butt, a resident of Nowbal Gundibal in Kulgam, filed a written complaint before the Commission in April 2009 that his father was killed by the Army.
During the subsequent investigation of the case by the Commission, it came to light that the deceased was killed by the Army during a siege and search operation on March 4, 1994.
