Human Rights Commission in Canada Being Sued For $2 Million
The Yukon Human Rights Commission in Canada is being sued for $2 million by a man who says they discriminated against him.
David Ausiku is claiming "systematic denial of service", "discrimination", "defraudation (sic) of perverting the truth from (his) writing" and "causing events to occur negatively instead of making them simple."
Ausiku listed six complaints he has made to the commission since 1994, when he filed documents in Yukon supreme Court on Monday.
He says all of them have been either been dismissed without being properly investigated first. Either that, or they've been ignored.
Mediators at the commission try to resolve issues between the parties.
If that doesn’t work, cases are heard by the human rights tribunal, a separate body.
