Nominations for Norman's human rights award solicited
NORMAN — Applications are being accepted for the city's annual Human Rights Award, which is presented to an organization or individual who has shown outstanding effort, achievement or leadership in the promotion of human rights and equality.
The person or group selected for the honor by the city's Human Rights Commission will be recognized at the Dec. 14 city council meeting.
The person or organization being nominated should serve as an example for others in the community, spokeswoman Carol Coles said. Nominations should include examples of achievements, efforts and leadership.
