Human Rights Commission Confirms Mrs Chime Suffers Health Challenges

*Says governor’s wife wants a new medical team

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) said it has established that wife of Enugu State Governor, Clara Chime, suffers from health challenges bordering on occasional "hallucinations and depression."

The commission however said despite her health condition, she was conscious of her environment and relates well with those she encounters.

Mrs. Chime is said to have however lost confidence in the physician engaged by her husband to handle her case.

She has consequently sought the assistance of the NHRC to help assemble a team of independent medical experts to ascertain her true health status and manage her.

NHRC's Executive Secretary, Professor Bem Angwe disclosed this Friday while making public his agency's preliminary report on its on-going investigation of a petition by Mrs Chime. Details to follow
