Iran's breaking off ties with UK gets serious
TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has submitted a letter to Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on breaking off diplomatic relations with UK.
"The commission Chairman Alaeddin Boroujerdi has informed the Parliament's presidium of the commission's decision on breaking off diplomatic ties with Britain," the commission rapporteur Kazem Jalali told ISNA.
The commission has approved breaking off ties with the UK.
The measure comes following the UK meddling in Iran's domestic affairs particularly post-election events and insulting remarks of British ambassador to Iran Simon Gass on the country's human rights situation.
Iranian authorities have already condemned UK interference in the country's domestic affairs.
