'Israel' holds responsibility for the lives of the Palestinian hunger-strikers, expert of international legal affairs said.
"Israel holds responsibility for the lives of the Palestinian detainees," Fawzi al-Samhori, the chairman of Jozoor for Citizens Rights said. "If Israel have no respect for their rights and dignity, then we have to lobby international organisations to follow up their cause legally".
'Israel' breaches on the international conventions, concerned with the rights of the detainees, al-Samhori said, and int'l organisations are used to this.
He called on the human rights organisations to press on Israel to respect conventions, protect the detainees and meet their demands.
International Committee of the Red Cross ignores the hunger strike, undertaken by the Palestinian detainees for the 3rd week, the human rights activist said.
Almost 3,000 Palestinian detainees have been going on in their hunger strike since April 17, 12 to press on the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) to abort solitary confinement.
The prisoners of Negev threatened to escalate their actions, declaring that they are due to increase the numbers of the detainees engaged in the hunger strike.
