Abuse of human rights in Cayman

Oh, how sweet it is to live on this wonderful and beautiful island of ours that we call home - the Cayman Islands.

But there is something going on here in Cayman that many of the people do not know about and that is the natives of these Islands’ human rights are being denied the people.

Your international human rights are being denied and treated like dogs, even by the people that are supposed to serve and protect you. We are now abused in our own country that we are on the brink of panic. They take us, lock us up in prison and then guilty or not we enter this world of crime they created. What happens to those who were innocent?

The people who had their human rights taken away from them are now waking up from their not knowing about it to now knowing about it.

I have had my international human rights abused right here in my own country by my own government just like many of the prisoners now in Northward. Some of them there are innocent. Many of them, if not all, have had their human rights taken away from them. Why doesn’t the government of this country and the governor release the ones in Northward that have gone years over their time? A lot of human rights abuse is there.

When is the government going to pay me and all the other Caymanians that it owes for its abuse of our international human rights?

Stop the abuse of human rights of the people of this Island, and to all from the outside world, stand up for your human rights in Cayman. Maybe if we respected each other more, there would be less crime. But first, respect yourself and stand up for your rights.

Emile S. Levy
