Stepped up human rights violations in IHK condemned
In occupied Kashmir, the pro-freedom leaders and organisations have strongly condemned the stepped up human rights violations and killing of innocent youth by Indian troops.
The APHC leader and Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja and the spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front in their separate statements issued in Srinagar said that innocent Kashmiri youth were being massacred due to special powers given to the troops.
The Patron of Jammu Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Behanji, in a statement said that, on one side, the occupation authorities were claiming to take steps for improving the situation, but on the other, Kashmiri youth were being arrested and tortured in the interrogation centres without any justification.
The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement in his statement denounced the Indian state terrorism and appealed to the world community to put pressure on India to stop human rights abuses in the occupied territory and take serious steps for resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in his statement expressed concern over the arrest of the party General Secretary, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai. He said that jail authorities were not providing proper medical treatment and hygienic food to the illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists due to which the detainees were suffering from several diseases.
